New at WNKL: Plasticana

With Plasticana, we are adding a completely new category to WNKL: footwear. Alongside our clothing and accessories, we now also have shoes in our collection. This is thanks to the arrival of Plasticana, a brand that fits perfectly with the style and lifestyle of WNKL.

Plasticana combines two materials you might not immediately expect to see together: hemp and plastic. The French brand has been developing products that combine hemp fibres with plastic since 1998. One of Plasticana’s best-known products is its recognisable clog.

The Plasticana clog stands out with its simple shape and distinctive look. Hemp fibres are incorporated into the material, giving the clog a unique look and feel. The clogs are lightweight, practical and fit perfectly with a relaxed lifestyle.

Why Plasticana?

The story behind Plasticana immediately caught our attention. Hemp is a material with a long history, but Plasticana gives it a new purpose within a modern lifestyle product. By combining hemp fibres with plastic, the brand creates a material with its own unique character.

Plasticana also looks at what happens to the material after use. According to the brand, the material can be processed into pellets and then reused to create new plastic products. This means Plasticana looks beyond just making the product and also considers what happens to the material afterwards.

The Products

At the moment, we have several Plasticana models available at WNKL. The Clog is available in Black and the recognisable Classic Hemp colour. We also have the Opana in our collection.

The different models are easy to combine and fit perfectly with a relaxed, outdoor and island lifestyle. Whether you wear them after a day of surfing, during a walk around the island or simply with your everyday outfit, Plasticana adds its own character to your look.
